Action:  Please complete AT LEAST ONE OF THESE  before the program day:

1.        Learn more about pressures on land and water resources in your community.  - Attend a meeting of your community's (or another's) municipal planning board or conservation commission in order to gain some insight into the pending applications for land development, and about municipal efforts to conserve land.

- Learn about the growth patterns in your community.  Also, if you live in a community with public water (meaning; not from a well), find out where the water comes from and how it is used.

- Meet with at least two members of the planning board or conservation commission, in your community, in order to learn your municipality's efforts to balance economic development with resource preservation. 2.            Visit PSNH's Schiller Station* in Newington or the Winnipesaukee River Basin Plan in Franklin.  We will work with you to arrange visits if there is sufficient interest in a particular location.

*The visit to the PSNH Schiller Station is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, January 5, 2010.  More details will follow.
