Community Recreation Specialist at NH Division of Parks and Recreation
Eric Feldbaum began working with the New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation in 2013 as the Community Recreation Specialist. In managing the Office of Community Recreation his role is to oversee the State Parks outreach and volunteer programs. His continued interest in promoting recreational opportunities also encompasses being the State’s National Parks Service Grant Manager for the Land and Water Conservation Fund. He has always had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed finding ways to assist others in enjoying the outdoors. He has been able to extend his passion into a career that he loves. The position of Community Recreation Specialist is one that has been established by State statute and it is a position that Eric takes seriously because it is a positive impact for the recreational opportunities for the citizens of and visitors to the State. Eric was recently elected to the executive board as the Member at Large for New Hampshire Recreation and Park Association where he continues to promote and advocate for the development of parks and recreation services throughout New Hampshire. As a Board of Director member for New Hampshire Outdoor council, an all-volunteer organization, which provides education and funding support to agencies and organizations for, back country safety education and search and rescue in New Hampshire. In his spare time, Eric spends his time with his fiancé and dog hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. During the summer months he volunteers for a local farm in Concord assisting with farmers markets, and growing and harvesting produce.
