Library Director at NH Historical Society
Sarah Galligan is a New Hampshire transplant by way of Louisiana and Tennessee. She moved to the state to attend Dartmouth College, where she majored in history. After graduating, she lived in Boston and worked as the manager of a specialty running store. While in Boston she also received her masters in library science with a concentration in archival management from Simmons College. She held internships at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, the Concord Free Library (MA), the Fells, and Historic New England. She currently lives in Concord, where she serves as Library Director of the New Hampshire Historical Society. When not among the collections that tell New Hampshire's history, Sarah can be found walking, reading, and running. She has completed six marathons, twenty-one half marathons, and many shorter races; and has enjoyed being a part of and getting to know New Hampshire's running community. She loves being in the heart of everything has to offer and is excited to continue to learn about the state and the people who call it home.
