Public and Government Affairs Advisor at Preti Strategies
Lucas grew up on the east side of Concord and graduated through the public school system before heading to Ohio to attend Denison University. Just two days after graduating from Denison in 2012, he was hired as campaign manager for a winning hard-fought toss up New Hampshire State Senate race in the Lakes Region. He went on to act as the press secretary for the state democratic party and then ran Chris Pappas’ successful campaign for Executive Council in 2014. Following that, he began advising and consulting clients on public affairs projects in New Hampshire, including acting as New Hampshire Public Affairs Consultant to one of largest energy companies in North America. In the summer and fall of 2016, he acted as Caucus Director for the New Hampshire Senate Democrats, where he helped oversee all aspects of 2016 Senate campaigns including strategy, message development, budgets, grassroots organizing and paid communications. Since the end of 2016, he has worked as a public and government affairs advisor at Preti Strategies, helping clients with public affairs, government relations and strategic communications projects in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. He is constantly delivering the tactical game plans and guidance necessary for successful campaigns and public affairs efforts. Additionally, Lucas became President of the New Hampshire Young Democrats in 2015, growing the organization to be the most professional in the country with two full time staff and a record operating budget. Lucas is also an assistant coach for the Concord High lacrosse team.
