Attorney at Mitchell Municipal Group
Born and raised in New England, Naomi Butterfield began her legal career in Colorado but returned home to her roots in New Hampshire nearly fifteen years ago. As an attorney with the Mitchell Municipal Group in Laconia she represents New Hampshire’s towns and cities and shares her energy and time on several non profit boards. Naomi’s interests lie in education, the environment, animal welfare and a love of being outdoors. Naomi is passionate about her non profit work and these days shares her legal wisdom, sense of humor, commitment to community in her service as the Board Chair of Mill Falls Montessori School (NH’s first public Montessori) and as Secretary to the Board of the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund. She previously served as the first Legal Counsel for the Community College System of New Hampshire, Legal Counsel for Merrimack County, and for several years was an education and employment lawyer at the private firm of Bernstein Shur, Sawyer, and Nelson and a Trustee of Franklin Pierce University. A long time rower and former US Rowing Team member, Naomi serves as Novice Coach for Friends of Concord Crew, a rowing club serving the central region. Naomi lives in Concord, NH with her husband and twin pre-teen daughters. She is an avid reader, skier, hiker, trail runner, rower, kayaker, and knitter. Mostly she loves to spend her time in the mountains and the north county of New Hampshire with dogs, friends and family.
