Ellen Carlson

Ellen Carlson’s mission is to improve our social fabric by making connections, no matter what our backgrounds or ages and to create positive relationships through music. She believes this is essential for our society and our souls. Ellen has a Masters in Education, she taught middle school math for 15 years, was K-12 Math Department Head and Athletic Director. She also has a Business degree and she was a Project Manager for Bose Corporation as well as Marketing Director for the North Country Center for the Arts. Her artistic background includes over 40 years of playing music. Music was an integral part of her family; she played in the family band and eventually pursued a minor in music. She is on the NH State Council on the Arts Education roster. Ellen is an in-demand fiddle teacher at numerous festivals and workshops and she currently plays in a number of bands. Her solo album received a coveted highlight review from Bluegrass Unlimited, an international publication. Ellen has run her own music camp for 20 years, teaching people of all ages how to jam together, and she is organizer and leader of the New Hampshire Fiddle Ensemble, LLC, a group of 100 people ages 8 to 88, which raises about $20,000 each year for not-for-profit organizations.
