Lieutenant at Department of Safety-NH State Police
Michael Kokoski has been a New Hampshire State Trooper since 2005 and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant. He is a graduate of the 139th Full Time New Hampshire Police Academy, where he was the recipient of the Arthur D. Kehas Outstanding Achiever Award. His initial assignment within the State Police was as a uniform trooper patrolling in Troop F, which is comprised of Grafton and Coos Counties in northern New Hampshire. In 2008, he was transferred into the Major Crime Unit, where he served as a detective tasked primarily with homicide investigation. In 2010, he was assigned specifically to New Hampshire’s new Cold Case Unit and was eventually promoted to Detective Sergeant, tasked with overseeing the investigative operations into the state’s unsolved homicides. In 2018, he was promoted to Lieutenant, and currently serves as the Commander of Troop C, overseeing State Police field operations within Cheshire and Sullivan counties. Mike is a 2005 graduate from the University of New Hampshire, Durham. He holds a BA in English with a dual major in Justice Studies. Mike is a New Hampshire native. He was born and raised in the Monadnock Region where he currently resides with his wife and children.
